A good kitchen sink takes daily washing, scrubbing and the occasional heavy pot. At Big Bath our kitchen sinks are made from hard-wearing stainless steel in single, double and triple bowl layouts, with or without a drainboard, in topmount or undermount styles — across 10 showrooms nationwide.

Types of Kitchen Sinks

Single Bowl Sinks

One basin — more room for large pots and trays, and a simpler, cleaner look. Great for compact kitchens.

Double Bowl Sinks

Two basins, so you can wash and rinse separately or soak while still using the other bowl. The most popular family choice.

Triple Bowl (2½ Bowl) Sinks

A third, smaller bowl — often with a waste disposer fitting — adds flexibility for prep and waste separation.

With or Without Drainer

A sink with a drainboard gives you somewhere to drip-dry dishes; a drainer-free sink looks sleeker and saves counter space.

How to Choose the Right Kitchen Sink (Quick Checklist)

  1. Count the bowls. Single for small kitchens and big pots, double for wash-and-rinse flexibility, triple for serious prep.
  2. Topmount or undermount? Topmount (drop-in) is easy to fit to any counter; undermount sits below the counter for a flush look and easy wipe-in — best with solid counters.
  3. Drainer or not? A drainboard helps drying; skip it for a cleaner, more modern look.
  4. Check the gauge. A lower stainless-steel gauge number means thicker, quieter, more dent-resistant steel.
  5. Measure the cabinet. The sink must fit your base cabinet width — check before ordering.

Kitchen Sink Features to Look For

  • Stainless steel — hard-wearing, hygienic and heat-resistant.
  • Sound-deadening pads — reduces drumming noise and condensation.
  • Undermount option — flush, easy-wipe install.
  • Drainboard — somewhere to drip-dry.
  • Matching waste & strainer — many ship complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

Single or double bowl kitchen sink?

A single bowl gives you one big basin — best for large pots and compact kitchens. A double bowl lets you wash and rinse in separate basins (or soak while you work), which most families prefer. Choose single for space and big items, double for flexibility.

Topmount or undermount sink?

A topmount (drop-in) sink drops into a cutout and suits any counter — easiest to fit. An undermount sink fixes below the counter for a flush look so you can wipe crumbs straight in, but it needs a solid (stone/quartz) counter and more careful fitting.

What stainless-steel gauge should I choose?

Gauge is the steel thickness — a lower number means thicker steel. Thicker steel (around 16–18 gauge) is quieter, resists denting and holds up better to heavy pots; thinner steel drums more and dents easier. Look for a good gauge and sound-deadening pads.

Do kitchen sinks come with a drainer?

Some do — a drainboard gives you a built-in area to drip-dry dishes. Drainer sinks are practical for busy kitchens; drainer-free sinks look sleeker and free up counter space. We stock both.

Will my sink fit my cabinet?

It must match your base cabinet width. A double bowl sink needs a wider cabinet than a single. Always check the sink's overall dimensions against your cabinet and countertop cutout before ordering.

Do kitchen sinks include the waste?

Many of our sinks ship with a matching waste and strainer basket, but not all — check each listing. If it is not included, order the matching waste at the same time so installation goes smoothly.

Do you deliver and install kitchen sinks?

Yes. Big Bath has 10 showrooms nationwide and in-house installers across Peninsular Malaysia, with ready stock in Kota Kinabalu (Sabah) and Kuching (Sarawak). WhatsApp your nearest branch.
